Saturday 18th. The second day of our October cruise, and we've reached Wrenbury on the LLangollen Canal. It had been frosty overnight and we awoke to find everywhere covered in mist.
It didn't last long. Fifteen minutes after I took this picture the sun was out and warming my back as we glided along. Our destination today was Bettisfield, just over the border in Wales, where we were to pick up friends John and Judy. It was to be their first trip on a narrowboat.
We had Vivaldi weather on our week: all four seasons. OK, no actual snow, but frost, mist, sun, warmth, wind and rain.

Cheers and accolades, not just anyone can fit a Vivaldi reference to a narrowboat blog.
Thanks Bill!
Stunning photos Halfie. Shadow is beautiful. I hadn't realised it before.
Thanks VallyP. Yes, we quite like Shadow.
