Flower power

On the day when I decided I wasn't going to go looking for a boat I sat in the garden for a bit in the sun.

A bee buzzed by and stopped off at some of the flowers for a drink. That's when I went to get the camera, but he wouldn't let me get close enough for a photo. So these polyanthus (polyanthi?) are all beeless, but still pretty, I think.

Not a bee on the daffodil ...

... but a tiny fly.

Hi Halfie. Going back to your heavy steering concerns I have just measured the rudder on our boat, 7 inch in front of the pivot point and 21 inches behind, so a 3 to 1 ratio. However there is an old Braidbar boat here as well and that has about 3 inches in front so looks like different builders have different ideas.

Thanks Ray, that's useful. I wonder if the Braidbar has heavy steering.
