Back home - and there are jobs to do

Yesterday we cruised the remaining couple of miles into Chester and tied up on the 48 hour moorings below the city wall. There was time to walk towards the Northgate Locks and see a pair of old boats Lamprey and Kangaroo emerge. On the wall we greeted people with "Happy Easter" - and everyone returned the greeting. One couple we were to recognise a bit later in Chester Cathedral at the 10 o'clock service: John and Fiona from NB Epiphany, whom we later met again as we left the bottom of the staircase locks.

For Jan and me this was the end of our cruise. We'd had superb weather and we'd kept the boat going, but now it was time to say goodbye to David and co., load up the car, and drive the five hours home. Here there are jobs to do, so the photos will have to wait.
