Thames "scrap" sculpture

On a Boxing Day bike ride by the Thames we came upon a curious assemblage of rubbish arranged to form a sculpture.

It looks like a sailing boat. David says it's been there for some time.

I like the yellow person with the hat.

Whereabouts on the Thames is that? The river looks familiar but I don't recall ever seeing a sculpture from the water - I guess were too busy dodging Clippers!

Sue, it's on the south side of the river, just east of the O2 dome. According to the OS map it's on Bugsby's Reach.

Thanks, we're going that way on Friday - we'll see if we can spot it!

What fun! And amazing that it remains undamaged!

It might be a little tricky to spot against the buddleia, Sue.

You're quite right - I looked out for it but didn't get anywhere near to seeing it - mind you we were quite a distance from the shore!

I'll try to spot it next time - I'll have to get the binoculars out...
