What and where - wider

You won't need me to tell you that this is a signpost.

But where is it?

*********

Something funny has been happening to Tony's UK Waterways website rankings. For a few days we've had the request to be patient while the ranking website was undergoing work; now we have the numerical ranking in its box. But I noticed earlier today that this blog had suddenly jumped to the dizzy height of number 11. What is going on?

I've just been into the UKWRS as it is not showing on my blog and it has a notice saying it has crashed and should be repaired.

The UKWRS is all over the place. I had the be patient sign for days, and now the site says I've had 125 page views in the past 7 days -- which is less than I actually get in a single day! I think the rankings can be safely ignored at the moment.

Several people who have looked at your site helped to pay for that sign

KevinTOO, spot on.

Graham & Jill and Adam, the UKWRS says the fix should be completed by today (29th Nov), but I expect it might then take another week for it to settle down.

Brian, is it anything to do with Cutweb, as was suggested earlier?
