It's been more like midsummer than early April today. Perfect boating weather (but all weather is perfect boating weather, I know).
As we started down the Staffs and Worcs the water was very still, giving perfect reflections. I was steering here, so there's rather more boat in the shot than I would have liked!
Lots of nice locks were worked, including Bratch Locks. Here's the obligatory photo.
We stopped for lunch at The Round Oak, Wombourne. Two roast dinners for £9.95. (No photo)
It all passed without incident, except that I got sunburned arms. We tied up just before Stourton Junction, ready for an early start up the Stourbridge Canal tomorrow. Slightly further down the Staffs and Worcs is Stewponey lock, with its octagonal toll office.
