On Saturday we went, as we do every year, to a barn dance. It's held in a local village hall and is organised by the churches. It's always a good occasion, with nearly everyone on the dance floor, and music (and calling) supplied by Shinanikins. I like it because
1. You bring your own booze
2. There's a good meal provided at half-time
3. No dancing knowledge or skill is required
Just like boating, really. (Well, OK, the meal might be at full-time.)
