Nine week cruise - day 37 - Sunday 7th August 2005
Hurleston to Whitchurch
paddle gear on the LLangollen
Both John and David up at 0615, and under way at 0630. We stopped at Wrenbury Mill just beyond the lift bridge. After visiting Wrenbury Church we had lunch at the Cotton Arms pub.
There were queues at the locks today, but not too bad (I noted in the log). At Grindley Brook staircase there were no boats coming down so we were through quickly. At the top we watered up and made use of the shower. I seem to remember a sort of antiques shop or second-hand bookshop here.
After a very sharp left turn (you go on to a winding hole and come back to make a much gentler right turn) we went to the end of the Whitchurch arm and moored up at about 2030. Explored the town.
