At Preston Bagot middle lock are these two houses. The far one is the usual barrel-roofed lock cottage. But the other is like nothing else around.
It has a striking chimney with two pointed chimney pots.
At least, I think it's a chimney. But the chimney pots look very white, as if smoke doesn't actually emerge from them.
And it has what looks like a lantern or gazebo on the flat roof.
It must be great to sit in there, being warmed by the sun, and looking out over the countryside.
Just for fun I've tweaked the top photo a little. I haven't painted any colours in, just adjusted a few levels.
