Tryphina

Another boat with character on the Coventry Canal (detached section).

This was by Bridge 82 just south of Huddlesford Junction.

  1. Wonder if it had a companion called Tryphosa?

  2. Ian and Karen, you know your Bible! I looked up "Tryphina" but didn't find much. Spell it "Tryphena", and up comes the reference to Romans 16:12 ("Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord.")

  3. That's it, my version says, 'women who work hard in the Lord'. A fine eulogy to earn, though think I prefer Karen!

  4. This boat used to belong to my grandad Alan Bowyer. I wonder if its floating around still

Sorry - I've had to switch on this word verification thingy. Hope you don't find it too annoying.
