A corner of England that is forever ... the DDR?

One more for the collection of strange sights canalside:


Someone's clinging on to the old East Germany in Amington on the Coventry Canal.


I can't help thinking that the life ring is somehow symbolic.

    We've seen a little boat called Willow a couple of times over the past couple of days -- and I'm pretty sure it was the one you borrowed. Last seen this morning at MK marina.

    Yes, I've looked at your photos, and I'm pretty sure it was the same boat. Still seemed to have a prop, anyway...

    Yes it passed us while we were moored at Stoke Hammond, and was last seen on the service wharf at MK Marina.
