What is it? - the answer

KevinTOO was (again) first with the answer: it's one of the metal sculptures at Wolverton alongside the Grand Union Canal and railway there.

The figure consists of twisted railway tracks and is shown holding a steam locomotive and tender.

You're never far from railway history in Wolverton!

  1. WOW I'm truely amazed that I'm right as I've only ever seen photos of the sculpture :)
    The last time I went through Wolverton on a boat they still had some remnants of the railway works... (yes I am that old) LOL
