Nope you got me foxed on this one Halfie... Is it some sort of metal in a lock wall??Kevin
Kevin - no.
Id say a tree root in the mud
No, not a tree root in the mud.
Part of a dead frog?
The intestines of a knifing victim?
Some sort of track left by something passing over an oily or muddy surface.Am I getting warm?
Is it an Eel in the mud Halfie? Debbie.
I was going to ask if it was Nessie, but I think Debbie is probably closer to it :)
Metal rubbing strip in the lock wall?Nev
Slipway surface
the outer stuff looks like paint/bitumen, reminds me a bit of what happens to the other side of boat steel when it's been welded...so part of a sign/graffiti, or art/sculpture?
Some interesting guesses! I won't say any more, but will shortly publish a slightly more revealing photo.
Sorry - I've had to switch on this word verification thingy. Hope you don't find it too annoying.
